The Usefulness of Lava Lamps
As stated in a previous page, the lava lamp is a dim lamp. This lamp is purely for decoration and not as a fully fledged light source. It is so dim due to the wax within the lamp and the solution which is usually a different color than just clear. Due to the wax blocking some of the light and depending on the color of the liquid, the lamp will either be a much dimmer light or a little more of a brighter dimmed light. The usefulness for a dim lamp is very limited. Many would say, well why not just use an ordinary lamp.
Why a lava lamp can, in some cases, be more useful than an actual lamp. Due to a lava lamps’ more dim light, it can be used as a sort of night light to make a home or room not pitch black. The lava lamp is usually more stylistically appealing to most people. It has a more retro sort of style which to some can be very eye catching. Also, because it can come in many other colors it allows for the consumer to have the ability to choose the right lamp for a room. This also allows for a more vibrant home environment.
